Beaconsfield Services, M40

Ionity and Gridserve have chargers at these services.
The Ionity chargers are adjacent to the caravan parking area.

No one-way systems to worry about, accessible from both directions of the motorway.

Park with the lorries /caravans (look for signs for IONITY chargers), reverse in bays near the main building to leave the caravan. Ionity charges next to these bays. Busy though – 6 chargers.

Or, pop to the other side of the site with the car, where there are multiple 400 kW Gridserve chargers.

Hope this helps someone. I used the Gridserve chargers as there were more available than IONITY. However, Ionity, with its subscription, is probably cheaper.

EV Point – Rivington Northbound

Rivington Services Northbound, M61 between Junctions 6 and 8.

It’s an unhook location, but everything is in one easy car park and there’s no one-way system to worry about.

You can see your caravan the whole time while driving to and from the chargers.

We even dropped the steadies and had dinner!

It was fairly quiet, too.

You can also get between Rivington Northbound and Southbound via Anderton Lane. As long as you are not an HGV.
Southbound is a ‘drive-through’ charger.

Woodall Northbound Services – Sheffield

M1, between junctions 30 and 31.

There is some caravan parking on the left of the main car parking area.
The chargers are on the other side of the same main parking area.

Unfortunately, if the caravan parking is full and you end up in the lorry parking, the one-way system doesn’t allow you to get back to the chargers.
