Moto Exeter (J30 of the M5).
This is one of Gridserve’s first eHGV Freightway Chargers.
Thanks to the work of José De Bardi, Gridserve has agreed to open up its eHGV Freightway Chargers to EV Caravanners.
I will be adding more here. Find out more from Gridserve:
- Gridserve Electric Freightway
- The GRIDSERVE Electric Freightway is underway, with two electric truck charging stations now open at Baldock and Exeter service stations
Please Note: This location is primarily for eHGVs. It would be good practice to be considerate as they run to a schedule. Do what you can to avoid delaying them. Before Josés hard work, Gridserve did not want us to use these chargers.
Chargers:
CCS 350 kW

This is a great idea. Maybe trybtransposing it towards an app based web site. I think it would be a success.
Hi, yes, that is a nice idea, but it would cost money to do it properly. I’m not getting any finance for this project.
You can save the home page: on Android, navigate to home page, tap on the menu button, and select “Add to Home Screen”.
This will be about the same as as an app for you.
Chargers are around the back of the services in the HGV area. They don’t show in the Gridserve app (or Zapmap) so you can’t check availability in advance or start the charge from the app. Contactless bank card worked ok on both occasions we have used them but wouldn’t work with applepay on the phone either time.
No one else using them when we were there on a Sunday and Easter weekend Saturday 👍
