GRIDSERVE Charging Station, Burton (N)

Burton in Kendal is good. You can park with van on the first car park on the left, unhitch, and then go to main car park to charge.

There are some older 50kw chargers if you want to stay a while and newer 150kw as well.

Easy to get back to van without going the wrong way around the car park. (When I get a chance, I’ll add a diagram to show the directions)

  • 6x CCS 350 kW
  • 3x CCS 60 kW

Banbury Instavolt

A huge site with 32 chargers.

If visiting at a quiet time then possibility there may be so many available chargers that you can charge without unhitching by pulling alongside a row of chargers.

If busier then you need to unhitch into one of the just 2 non-charging spaces, or otherwise, it’s leaving the caravan on the access roads – while they are quiet and it won’t be an obstruction but they do have double yellow lines everywhere!

  • 3x CCS 160 kW
  • 8x CCS 150 kW
  • 8x CCS 125 kW
  • 13 CCS 120 kW

Unhitch at the dedicated caravan parking (follow lorry parking signs, but then don’t turn into lorry parking and round the next bend is the dedicated caravan parking bays).

This services allows easy access back and from the car park to caravan and lorry areas, no one-way systems to get stuck in.

6 x 350Kwh Gridserve chargers at the far corner of the main services car park.

GRIDSERVE Charging Station and Tesla Supercharger are located to the south of the main car park.

There is caravan parking available. As you enter the services, there are signs for caravan parking on the right. You can then navigate through to the car park area where you will find the chargers. (I will add a map shortly).
